Wild West Fest an Australia Day success at Manor Lakes

15 March 2019

The annual Australia Day celebration has become a traditional community highlight at Manor Lakes.

This year’s event at Manor Lake Park was themed as a Wild West Fest and the perfect weather conditions on the day helped to ensure a huge gathering of local families, with an estimated attendance of around 1,500 people throughout the day.

A drove of budding cowboys and cowgirls came along to test their bucking bull riding skills, watch the whip cracking and enjoy the great food on offer from a variety of food trucks.

Other popular entertainment included the pony rides, water pistols and a petting zoo.  Café-style seating under the umbrellas and hay bale furniture provided welcome rest spots and the Waggle Dance Company kept the crowds entertained.
