Brookdale display in Shepparton wins MBAV Regional Award

20 June 2012

Award-winning builder Dennis Family Homes has gained further industry honours, with its current Brookdale display home in Shepparton winning a prestigious title at the Master Builders Association of Victoria’s North East Regional Building Awards.

The Brookdale 271 was judged the Best Volume Builder Display Home in the $200,000 – $300,000 price range at the MBAV Awards presentation function staged in Albury on 1 June.

“Credit for this award is due to all in our team who have been involved with the display from the design and construction phases through to its presentation since opening its doors in late July last year,” says Dennis Family Homes Shepparton Area Manager, Jason Watts.

“Showcased here in Shepparton with the Resort facade, the Brookdale is an outstanding display home and everyone at Dennis Family Homes is extremely proud that it has received this important recognition within our industry,” he continues.

“The MBAV Awards are associated with outstanding craftsmanship and building excellence, so to be rated the best in the display category in its price range is a notable achievement. It is especially satisfying to win the highly coveted $200,000 to $300,000 category, as that particular segment is aligned with affordability and value for money.”

Mr Watts encourages any potential new home buyers in the Shepparton area to inspect the Brookdale at the Dennis Family Homes Display Centre, which is the largest in the area with three high quality home designs currently featured.

“Visitors to the Brookdale display will see a spacious four-bedroom home which is ideal for today’s growing families. It is a stylish and practical home, with ample living and entertainment space for everyone,” he states.

“It’s easy to see why our Brookdale display has created such a favourable impression.”

Suitable for construction on blocks from a minimum width of 14 metres, the Brookdale is available in four different size variations ranging from 20 and 22 squares (three bedrooms) up to 24 and 27 squares (four bedrooms). The floorplan for the 27 square version includes the addition of a games room and study/play area. Buyers can also select from a choice of six contemporary facades which are available with the Brookdale.

The display version at Shepparton has been expanded from its standard size of 27 squares to more than 31 squares, highlighted by the addition of an alfresco area with timber louvre feature which provides a large and inviting outdoor living area.

Other optional extras incorporated within the display home include additional ceiling height and floating timber laminate floor. Skylights have been used with considerable effect in the kitchen, whilst external options on the display version include a Colorbond roof.

Open for viewing daily from 1pm to 5pm, the display is located in Canterbury Avenue at The Boulevard Estate in Shepparton North. Accompanying the Brookdale at the Dennis Family Homes Display Centre are two more of the builder’s popular designs – the Hartley and the Windsor.

The displays can be contacted directly by phone on 5823 7180 during opening hours. Further information is also available from the Shepparton Office of Dennis Family Homes at 374 Wyndham Street, Shepparton, phone 5823 7100 or online at www.dennisfamily.com.au.
