Technical Services - Estimator
Notting Hill, Victoria
Full time position

About the Role

Due to strong growth in our Homes business, we have created a new BOQ Estimator position in our Technical Services team.
 
Based in our Metro Head Office and reporting to the Team Leader for Technical Services, the Estimator will be responsible for the development of accurate and consistent:
•    Bills of Quantities (BOQ) as required
•    Recipes for Variation Catalogue items
•    Master Files (including Framing Guides)
•    Display Files
•    Production files (when required)
•    Recipes for Standard and Display Options

About the successful candidate

The successful Technical Services - Estimator will demonstrate and possess:
•    Volume housing environment experience;
•    Minimum of three years' experience in a related position (estimating);
•    Up-to-date knowledge of by laws and regulations (Australian Standards) and BCA;
•    Ability to read and interpret Architectural plans and identify anomalies;
•    Ability to prioritise and organise work to meet targets and deadlines;
•    Keen attention for detail;
•    Self-motivated with a proven track record in pro-active problem solving;
•    Confident and effective communication skills to be an excellent team player;
•    Strong numeracy and computer skills, particularly in Excel and Word.

Contract Administrator
Notting Hill, Victoria
Full time position

We currently have an opportunity for a full time Contract Administrator to join our team of Contract and Building Administrators. This role will be based in our modern Notting Hill office with onsite parking.

The successful applicant will be responsible for administration services to internal and external stakeholders, including customers, Sales Consultants, suppliers and Production team members.
Some of our customers may prefer to communicate in Mandarin. Thus, proficiency in explaining processes from deposit to site-start in Mandarin would be highly regarded.

On a day-to-day basis the successful applicant will be proactive in managing their own timeframes, workflow, quality of delivery and the escalation and follow up of tasks and individuals.

About the successful candidate

To be considered for this role, Applicants must have:
•    At least three years’ administration experience preferably in a building or related industry;
•    Strong computer skills, both accurate and timely data entry;
•    Extensive experience in customer service and excellent communication skills;
•    Fluency in Mandarin would be highly regarded;
•    The ability to work with limited supervision and show initiative; and
•    Highly developed organisational skills, multi-tasking skills and problem solving ability.

Production Draftsperson
Notting Hill, Victoria
Full time position

In the last year, our business has had strong growth, enabling opportunities for personal development and stability. Our success has also led to the creation of new opportunities in our Production Drafting team.

About the role

The Production Draftsperson will join our Metro Head Office team. Reporting to the Drafting Team Leader, the Production Draftsperson will be responsible for:
•    Producing accurate and precise sets of working drawings;
•    Producing drawings at various stages of the process, including variations;
•    Providing feedback and mark-ups to your peers on their drawings;
•    Producing or amending construction details;
•    Ordering Energy ratings and certificates; and
•    Ordering and checking structural engineering.

About the successful candidate

The successful Production Draftsperson will demonstrate technical competence in all facets of production drafting. Specifically, you will possess:
•    Recent ArchiCAD drafting experience;
•    2-3 years of residential construction experience;
•    Associate Diploma in Architectural Drafting (or equivalent);
•    Solid understanding and knowledge of Rescode;
•    Knowledge of building regulations NCC/BCA/AS;
•    Demonstrated ability to meet targets and deadlines;
•    Strong team work skills;
•    Sound communication skills both written and verbal; and
•    Strong numeracy and computer skills.
