Dennis Family Homes is seeking an energetic and motivated Estimator (specialising in either sales estimating or production estimating).  The opportunity is full time based in the Regional Production Office in Shepparton.

About the role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing accurate, timely and precise documentation to allow for the expeditious delivery of contracts and purchase orders for our construction teams.

About you

The ideal candidate will have:
•    Experience in estimating in a high volume environment, or a qualified tradesperson;
•    Technical skills in estimating for residential construction;
•    Up-to-date knowledge of bylaws and regulations (Australian Standards);
•    Numerical accuracy;
•    Excellent communication;
•    Strong computer skills; and
•    Building Diploma, Certificate IV in Building or Construction Management Degree (highly desirable).

Production Draftsperson

About the role

The Production Draftsperson will join our Metro Head Office team. Reporting to the Drafting Team Leader, the Production Draftsperson will be responsible for:
•    Producing accurate and precise sets of working drawings;
•    Producing drawings at various stages of the process, including variations;
•    Providing feedback and mark-ups to your peers on their drawings;
•    Producing or amending construction details;
•    Ordering Energy ratings and certificates; and
•    Ordering and checking structural engineering.

About you

The successful Production Draftsperson will demonstrate technical competence in all facets of production drafting. Specifically, you will possess:
•    Recent ArchiCAD drafting experience;
•    2-3 years of residential construction experience;
•    Associate Diploma in Architectural Drafting (or equivalent);
•    Solid understanding and knowledge of Rescode;
•    Knowledge of building regulations NCC/BCA/AS;
•    Demonstrated ability to meet targets and deadlines;
•    Strong team work skills;
•    Sound communication skills both written and verbal; and
•    Strong numeracy and computer skills.
